The mild weather allowed Townies to participate in large numbers in the famous event. The concept of which is both original and interesting. For a contribution of $25, you can buy a soup – which you can eat on the spot – in a bowl made at the Atelier de poterie de Mont-Royal, which you have chosen beforehand and which you take home. According to Jan Lauer, assistant manager for seniors at the Town of Mount Royal, no less than 100 bowls were sold on Saturday alone.
In TMR, “Empty Bowls” is an initiative of the pottery workshop and the United Church of Mount Royal.
